Why am I so over weight?! I have the answer and I've been meaning to put this out for some time. Did you know: the car industry and road system built in the 1950's made it very convenient for people to do a lot less working in the fields and walking to more commuting, more polution, and more processed foods?

6. Health concerns for obesity:
type 2 diabetes
heart disease
high blood pressure
nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (excess fat and inflammation in the liver of people who drink little or no alcohol)
osteoarthritis (a health problem causing pain, swelling, and stiffness in one or more joints)
some types of cancer: breast, colon, endometrial (related to the uterine lining), and kidney
7. Eating fruits and vegetables are healthy for you! They're convenient, less calories, high in fiber, packed with antioxidants, reduce disease, packed with vitamins and minerals, is a quick snack and is nutritious!
8. You need 6 1/2 cups of fruits and vegetables in your diet daily!
9. The nutritional value of our fruits and vegetables are dwindling over the years by over 60%. Broccoli produced in 1950 had 130 mg of calcium. Today, that number is only 48 mg.

In 1950 less than 10% of American's were considered obese. Unfortunately, 44% of American's will be obese by 2030! That's 13 years away people!
